has a hairline fracture. What to do??? Poor Mikey...yep it's true...Sat was Nana's housewarming party- My goodness...seeing people you hadn't seen in like 10 years means a lot of catching up! Kimmie hasn't changed a dang lick. And mom's friend Margie...her daughter Angie...was hysterical. I had an awesome time..we were up til 2am or so and during that time the kids ALL got along (minus Anna who was a beast to Kaitlyn- not mine that is).
Anyway Mikey comes upstairs crying that he's hurt himself with his remote control HEAVY jeep..the spiked tires went into his toe. We ice it and put him on the couch. Next am he can't walk at all and asks for meds. I call the ped...and he says head to the ER. Of course..so Kev was a little annoyed due to the high co-pay but we went...Edward Hospital ROCKS - they were awesome. No broken foot or toe they said but follow up with Ped in a few days for hairline fracture check.
We go in today...he still can't walk on it and we have to go for MORE x-rays...sure enough there is a hairline crack on his big toe. Due to that we see a ped. orthopedic specialist tomorrow (just the three names together make me think- $$$$ LOL). He's being a trooper..even after hearing his great-uncle mention PINS :( I'll keep you all posted. He's been off school all week and this after missing 2 weeks for our vacation at the beginning of the month- not good.
It's just been quite a week....horrible 34th bday with Anna being a beast and probably coming down with something..Mikey's toe and then almost forgetting A's Gotcha Day. And then getting Dad's newsletter w/our ages in it (and Tom's listed wrong) Nice that the world won't go along with my 29 age :)
Oh well...keep your fingers crossed for NO pins please!
